Ocular Sousveillance

Ocular Sousveillance artistically explores the emerging Internet phenomenon of sousveillance: The inverse surveillance of official surveillance objects or subjects by self-appointed defenders of democracy.

Equipped with an eye projection the performer observes the dominent observing object in the room while being observed by this very same object.The roles are reversed again and again until the borders between the former observing subject and the official observing object can no longer be defined. The two surveillant entities merge into one.

A new wave of surveillance starts.With com- bined forces they now turn their attention to the the spectators of the performance.
